More than 400 youth football commissioners, coaches and medical experts from across the United States, representing approximately 750,000 young players and 125,000 coaches, united Feb. 22-23 in Indianapolis for the inaugural USA Football National Conference.

 

USA Football, the sport’s national governing body,  assembled the first-of-its-kind youth football conference to examine youth and high school player safety and education, injury prevention and trends for the football community.

 

Medical experts and researchers with a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise  presented the latest research and discussed best practices and recommendations for safer play.

Football experts presented during the USA Football National Leadership Conference included Miami Dolphins Executive Vice President of Football Administration DAWN APONTE, former NFL linebacker and Super Bowl champion ROSEVELT COLVIN, Cincinnati Bengals Head Coach MARVIN LEWIS, former NFL running back MERRIL HOGE, West Virginia University Athletic Director and former NFL quarterback OLIVER LUCK, Green Bay Packers President and CEO MARK MURPHY and six-time NFL Executive of the Year BILL POLIAN.
